SEMI adds startup forum to Semicon West

LONDON – SEMI, the industry body or the semiconductor equipment and materials industry, has announced a half-day conference called the Silicon Innovation Forum to be held on July 9, 2013, alongside the annual Semicon West exhibition at the Moscone Center, San Francisco.

The event is intended to help early-stage companies meet investors and gain funding and is being organized by leading strategic investment groups in the industry including Applied Ventures, Dow Chemical Company, Intel Capital, Micron Ventures, TEL Venture Capital, and Samsung Ventures.

Startup and emerging companies can showcase their innovations through table-top demonstrations or poster displays or can use the event to seek one-on-one meetings with potential investors or to present their ideas during the conference itself. Attendance at the Silicon Innovation Forum will be free to all Semicon West attendees, SEMI said.
