Nexperia has announced a new lead-free ESD protection device for CAN-FD applications. The PESD2CANFDx series of components are AEC-Q101 certified and also provides industry leading ESD and RF performance.
PESD2CANFDx diodes provide excellent system level protection performance. It has the lowest clamping voltage of just 33V at IPP = 1A, dynamic resistance of 0.7 Ω. In addition, it achieves excellent signal integrity. The RF switching parameters provided by ESD protection devices, it has a mixed mode insertion loss of only +20dB at 300MHz.
The new DFN1412D-3 and DFN1110D-3 lead-free DFN packages have side-wettable flank which enable to save 80% PCB space over the traditional SOT23 and SOT323 packages, and meet the requirements of AOI function in automotive applications. The thermal performance of the product can be improved effectively by using a larger internal lead frame.
DFN1412D-3 and DFN1110D-3 packages are now available in 20 devices for automotive and industrial applications, including CAN/CAN-FD, FlexRay, SENT and LVDS.
